Would an ECUTEK reseller custom map my car ?
ECUTEK UK provide the technology to remap ECUs. The resellers worldwide do the
tuning. Here in Oz, MRT Performance do a lot of development and tuning, these
Maps are then supplied to resellers, who both use these Maps exactly and/or
adjust them to suit local conditions and client's cars.
Will I ever be able to run 95 octane again?
Yes, (but with care and common sense) as this is not even recommended
by Mitsubishi on all EVO models, Subaru on STi models and for all other
Subaru's, common sense is needed. NOTE (EcuTeK resellers can retune
specifically for low octane fuel and deliver better
performance than factory std on even 98 Ron fuel) for more info on this
refer here.
Is the EcuTeK reflashed cars response to
detonation as quick/safe as factory?
Actually better, faster and safer.
Will my car be more likely to detonate than with
standard ECU mapping?
Actually LESS! The tune we load into the factory ECU will reduce the
risk of detonation faster than the standard factory mapping.
